Northwest India

  • East Rajasthan is set to witness isolated very heavy rainfall on 30th and 31st July.

  • Himachal Pradesh is expected to receive very heavy rainfall on 30th July, with continued heavy rainfall likely till 4th August.

  • Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh are also on alert for heavy rainfall between 30th July and 4th August, depending on the region.

  • Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning is likely over the Western Himalayan region and parts of the plains over the next 7 days.

West India

  • Konkan and the Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra may experience isolated heavy rainfall on 30th July.

  • Widespread light to moderate rainfall is expected across the region over the next 6-7 days.

Northeast India

  • Thunderstorm, lightning, and isolated heavy rainfall are forecasted to continue across Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura from 30th July to 4th August.

  • Activity is expected to intensify further starting 1st August.

East & Central India

  • Madhya Pradesh will likely receive heavy rainfall on 30th and 31st July.

  • Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar will see consistent heavy rainfall from 30th July to 4th August.

  • Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, and Chhattisgarh are also in line for isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall on 30th July.

  • Bihar and West Madhya Pradesh are under watch for very heavy rainfall specifically on 30th July.

  • Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim will continue to receive heavy rainfall from 2nd to 4th August.

  • Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) are expected in many areas over the next 5 days.

South Peninsular India

  • Strong surface winds ranging between 40–50 kmph are likely across South Peninsular India for the next 3 days.

  • Light to moderate rainfall is expected across Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Telangana over the next 7 days.
