  • East Madhya Pradesh is expected to witness extremely heavy rainfall (≥21 cm) on 4th July, with the potential for flooding in vulnerable areas.

  • Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh during 4th–10th July.

  • Very heavy rainfall is forecast for Madhya Pradesh on 4th, 5th, and again 8th–10th July, and over Chhattisgarh from 4th–8th July.

  • Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha will also see heavy rain during this period, with Gangetic West Bengal expecting intense showers on 5th & 6th July.

  • Very heavy rainfall is likely over:

    • Jammu on 6th July

    • Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand (5th–8th July)

    • Punjab, Haryana (6th & 7th July)

    • West Uttar Pradesh (6th July)

    • East Rajasthan (4th–6th July and again 9th–10th July)

Thunderstorms and lightning will be common, especially over the western Himalayan region, along with rain at many locations over the plains.

  • Extremely heavy rainfall (≥21 cm) likely over ghat regions of Madhya Maharashtra on 6th & 7th July.

  • Heavy to very heavy rainfall expected across:

    • Konkan & Goa

    • Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra

    • Gujarat region from 4th–10th July

  • Saurashtra & Kutch to experience heavy rainfall from 4th–8th July

  • Marathwada may see significant showers on 6th & 7th July

  • Light to moderate rainfall is expected across most places throughout the week.

  • Isolated heavy rain is likely in other northeastern states, including Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Tripura.


🟨 South Peninsular India: Coastal Karnataka May See Very Heavy Showers

  • Isolated heavy rainfall is likely in:

    • Tamil Nadu on 4th & 5th July

    • Kerala & Mahe on 4th, 5th, 9th, and 10th July

    • Interior Karnataka from 4th–10th July

  • Coastal Karnataka is expected to see very heavy rainfall throughout the week.
