🌧️ Northwest India:

Residents of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh should brace for intense showers.

  • Very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated locations in Jammu-Kashmir and Punjab on 21st July, and in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 21st & 22nd July.

  • Rainfall will continue over Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana (21st–24th) and West & East Uttar Pradesh (21st–27th).

  • East Rajasthan may see showers on 27th July.

  • Thunderstorms and lightning are likely across the western Himalayan region and adjoining plains.

Heavy rainfall is forecasted across the western coastal belt:

  • Kerala & Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka may experience isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall from 21st to 27th July.

  • Tamil Nadu could see showers on 21st & 22nd July, while Telangana is likely to get rainfall on 22nd & 23rd.

  • Expect strong surface winds (40-50 km/h) across many parts of South India for the next 5 days.

  • West Madhya Pradesh is forecasted to receive very heavy rainfall on 26th & 27th July, and East Madhya Pradesh from 25th–27th July.

  • Vidarbha and Jharkhand may face intense rain on 24th & 25th, with Chhattisgarh and Odisha from 23rd–26th July.

  • Rainfall will likely continue in Bihar, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, and Gangetic West Bengal between 23rd–27th July.

  • Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 km/h) are possible across the region.

The northeast continues to receive consistent rainfall:

  • Light to moderate showers are expected to continue across Northeast India over the next 7 days.

  • Isolated heavy rainfall is highly likely in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Tripura on 21st, 22nd and between 23rd–27th July.
