🌧️ Meteora Weather Service Issues Fresh All-India Weather Outlook for Mid-October

Significant Weather Features (Valid from 10th to 13th October 2025)

Meteora Weather Service has issued an updated weather forecast and warning highlighting significant rainfall, thunderstorm activity, and gusty winds over South Peninsular India, East and Central India, and Northeast India during the next few days. Additionally, advisories have been released for fishermen in parts of the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal due to likely strong surface winds.

Widespread rain and thunderstorm activity are expected across the southern states with heavy rainfall at some places.

  • Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Kerala & Mahe are likely to experience light to moderate rain or thunderstorm with isolated heavy rainfall during 10th–13th October 2025.

  • Rayalaseema is expected to receive showers on 10th & 11th October.

  • Coastal Karnataka may see rainfall on 10th October, with very heavy rainfall likely over North Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka on 10th & 11th October.

  • Strong surface winds (speed reaching 30–40 kmph) are likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during 10th & 11th October.

  • Thunderstorms with lightning are also likely over several parts of South Peninsular India in the next 4–5 days.

Residents in low-lying and coastal areas are advised to remain cautious of localized flooding and waterlogging due to heavy rain spells.

⛈️ East and Central India

Rain and thunderstorm activity will continue over parts of East and Central India with isolated heavy rainfall events:

  • Odisha is likely to experience light to moderate rain or thunderstorm with isolated heavy rainfall during 10th–11th October.

  • Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds (speed reaching 30–40 kmph) is likely over Odisha from 10th–12th October and over Gangetic West Bengal on 10th & 11th October.

  • Chhattisgarh may experience thunderstorm and lightning activity on 10th & 11th October.

People in these areas should take precautionary measures against strong winds and lightning strikes during thunderstorm hours.

🌧️ Northeast India

  • Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya are expected to witness light to moderate rain or thunderstorm with isolated heavy rainfall on 10th October.

  • Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura are also likely to receive heavy rainfall during 10th & 11th October.

Short-duration intense rainfall may cause localized landslides and temporary disruption in hilly regions, especially across Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh.

🌊 Fishermen Warning

Meteora Weather Service has issued a cautionary advisory for fishermen:

  • Over parts of the West-Central Arabian Sea, rough sea conditions are likely on 10th October.

  • Over the Bay of Bengal, particularly the Gulf of Mannar adjoining Comorin area, rough conditions may persist from 10th to 12th October.

Fishermen are advised to avoid venturing into these sea areas during this period due to the risk of high waves and strong winds.
