đŸŒĻ️ Rainfall and Thunderstorms Continue Over South India; Stable Weather Elsewhere

The latest All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin from Meteora Weather Service indicates that the Southern Peninsular region continues to experience significant rainfall and thunderstorm activity, while most other parts of the country are witnessing clear skies and dry weather conditions.

South Peninsular India

A spell of light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms is likely to continue at many places across Tamil Nadu during 7th–9th November, with isolated heavy rainfall expected in certain regions.
Kerala and Mahe are also expected to experience light to moderate showers between 8th–10th November. On 7th November, both Tamil Nadu and Kerala may witness thunderstorm activity accompanied by gusty winds, with wind speeds reaching 30–40 kmph in isolated pockets.

This wet spell is associated with multiple upper air cyclonic circulations persisting over southern and adjoining regions, maintaining atmospheric instability and favorable conditions for rainfall.

Meteorological Analysis (as of 1730 hours IST)

Several weather systems are currently influencing the regional weather pattern:

  • A cyclonic circulation persists over the east-central and adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal between 1.5 and 3.1 km above mean sea level.

  • Another upper air cyclonic circulation lies over north Haryana and adjoining areas at 1.5 km above mean sea level.

  • A separate system is active over Assam and its neighbourhood, also at 1.5 km above mean sea level.

  • One more upper air cyclonic circulation persists over South Interior Karnataka and its neighbourhood at around 3.1 km above mean sea level.

These combined systems are contributing to isolated rainfall over southern and northeastern parts of India, while no significant synoptic system is active over the northern or western plains.

Forecast of Temperature

Temperature trends show a cooling pattern in parts of central and eastern India:

  • Northwest India: No significant change expected in minimum temperatures over the next 6–7 days.

  • Central & West India: Minimum temperatures are likely to fall by 2–3°C over the next 48 hours, with no significant change thereafter during the subsequent 4–5 days.

  • East India: Minimum temperatures are likely to fall by 3–4°C during the next 3 days, followed by stable conditions.

Residents in these regions can expect cooler mornings and comfortable daytime conditions in the coming week.

Weather Outlook for the Next 3 Days

  • Isolated to scattered rainfall activity is expected over Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

  • Dry and clear weather is likely to prevail across Northwest, Central, and Eastern India, with mainly clear skies and no significant weather activity anticipated.

  • The western and northern plains will continue to experience calm, stable weather with mild temperature variations.

🌤️ Summary

In summary, Southern India remains under the influence of active weather systems bringing rain and thunderstorms over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and nearby regions, while most of Central, North, and West India will enjoy dry, clear, and pleasant weather conditions through the upcoming days.
