đĻ️ All-India Weather Update: Next 24–48 Hours Forecast (Dec 28–30, 2025)
As we head into the last days of December, India’s weather is showing strong regional contrasts — with cold, foggy conditions dominating the North and East, while Southern and some Eastern regions enjoy mild temperatures.
❄️ North India: Cold Wave & Dense Fog Persist
Northern India — especially Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi-NCR, Himachal Pradesh and parts of Uttarakhand — will continue experiencing cold wave conditions and dense to very dense fog over the next 24–48 hours. This persistent fog is expected to significantly reduce visibility on roads, affecting travel and daily activities.
Cold Temperatures: Minimum temperatures are well below average for the season, with cold days expected through Dec 30, and isolated severe cold conditions.
Dense Fog: Particularly in morning and night hours, thick fog is forecasted in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and parts of the Indo-Gangetic Plains.
Travel Advisory: Commuters should allow extra time; highways and air services could face delays. Local authorities are likely to issue fog and cold-related weather alerts where densities remain high.
đ¤️ East India: Chilly with Dry Conditions
In West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha, mornings will be cold and misty, especially in inland areas. Fog and lower temperatures will be more pronounced in the Gangetic plains.
No Major Rain-Threat: Unlike earlier monsoon or cyclone-influenced seasons, this period remains generally dry with cool mornings.
Daytime Mildness: Day temperatures may rise moderately, offering relief from the night cold.
đ§️ South India: Mild to Dry Weather with Local Variations
Southern states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala will experience mostly dry to mildly humid conditions. Local forecasts (e.g., for Bengaluru) show clear to partly cloudy skies with no significant rain in the next 48 hours.
Bengaluru: Expect foggy start early mornings, but overall sunny to partly cloudy skies through the day and night.
Coastal South: Coastal areas may have slightly higher humidity and breezy conditions, but no heavy rainfall systems are dominating at present.
☀️ West India: Cooler Days Ahead
Western regions — including Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan — continue under cool to mild winter conditions. Daytime temperatures remain pleasant, and night chills are typical of the season.
Mumbai & Konkan: Breezy with comfortable daytime temps.
Central & Interior Areas: Cooler nights and sunny to partly sunny days; no widespread rainfall forecast.
