La Lina is expected to bring cold weather across India this year. Compared to other years, the severity of winter is noticeable in various states across India this year.Heavy snowfall has been observed in various states of North India due to the influence of successive western storms.
There is alert of widespread cold wave in various states of North India in the next 24 to 48 hours.There is a possibility of snowfall in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in the next 24 to 48 hours, which may lead to blockage in various roads and possible travel difficulties. Snowfall likely in parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. The minimum temperatures in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana will be around 6°-8° Celsius.Cold wave to continue in almost all states of North India for the next week
Along with the Cold wave , dense fog will be observed in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana in the morning, due to which visibility may be low in the morning. Despite dense fog in the morning, there is very little chance of sunny weather in the afternoon in the states of North India.
