Northeast Assam is dominated by a cyclonic circulation, and at lower tropospheric levels, a trough stretches from north Bihar to Manipur. Over the next five days, these characteristics are expected to bring mild to moderate rainfall and/or snowfall to Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.From April 30 to May, Sikkim should prepare for sporadic bouts of light to heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 kmph). On May 1, hailstorms are probable.On April 30 and May 1, heavy rainfall is predicted in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya; on May 1, 3, and 4, heavy rainfall is predicted across Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, respectively. Northeastern Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh, northeastern Assam, and southeast Meghalaya are predicted to get sporadic thunderstorms.Severe rain might submerge Arunachal.The North-Eastern region of India has experienced notable changes in the pattern of major climatic variables such as rainfall and temperature. Average temperatures are projected to increase in almost all the districts of the region while annual rainfall is also reported to increase in almost 3/4th of the districts.
