After a brief slumber Heatwave like conditions preparing for its comeback over the large parts of Northern India. Absence of any weather system clearing its way. Heatwave conditions already observed today over Eastern Uttar Pradesh & Bihar. Prayagraj in Eastern Uttar Pradesh recorded 45.2°C temperature today becoming the hottest place in the Country. Bahraich & Gorakhpur also observed Heatwave as both of them recorded 42.2°C temperature which is 4-5°C above normal then there climatological maximum average daily temperature this time. In Bihar places like Patna, Gaya observed temperature between 43-44°C, above 5-6°C then there normal. Capital Delhi also recorded temperature of 42.2°C . It will spread its wings on the vast places of Indo Gangetic plains along with Bihar, covering Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, entire Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Western parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Northern Chhattisgarh, parts of Odisha & surrounding areas. Another remarkable thing of this spell will be that not only the plains, it will mark its bare fang over the Himalaya too as the foothills of Himachal Pradesh & Jammu & Kashmir will also be affected by it. The Dun areas like Kangra Valley, Shimla or known as the Heaven of the Earth - Kashmir valley will also feel above normal temperature. Further Western Uttar Pradesh, Northern Madhya Pradesh, Parts of Southern Haryana, Eastern Rajasthan could see Severe Heatwave between Jun 12-14 where temperature likely to remain between 45-47°C. Places like Gwalior could record even above 47°C but that thing is yet to be monitored. Out of 612 fatalities over India till this year, 412 has been killed due to the Heatwave, nearly 70%. In West Rajasthan & on the East Odisha is largely responsible for it with the later one on the top with 161 fatalities in the last 10 days. Conditions will turn more bad as temperature going to increase 2-4°C over the interior & western parts of Odisha in the next 3-4 Days with parts like Balangir, Titlagarh recording temperature between 44-45°C. In Eastern Kolkata Alipore also recorded 41°C temperature on Jun 7th. This type of conditions will persist for the next 4-5 Days till the monsoon cover which will take nearly a month. The peak will be around the middle of June & then it'll start to decrease due to the advancement of the monsoon currents over the Eastern India. It will possibly leave the whole country by the end of the Jun but however isolated places could still record heatwave due to absence of rainfall activities for 4-5 Days however that won't persist for long & won't be unbearable like this. Another fact of this spell is that its a Moist Heatwave as termed by IITM Pune, where along with temperature & humidity the real feel touch 60-70°C near coast making an ideal conditions for Heat Stroke just like the fatalities occurred in Odisha recently. So its requested to takr better care of yourself this time.
