🌧️ East & Central India: Brace for Torrential Downpours

  • Extremely heavy rainfall (≥21 cm) is highly likely at isolated places in Madhya Pradesh on 8th July.

  • Widespread heavy rainfall is expected over Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha between 8th and 14th July.

  • Very heavy rainfall is forecasted over Madhya Pradesh (8th–11th), Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh (8th & 9th).

  • Today, intense cloud-to-ground lightning is expected over East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh along with gusty winds (30–40 kmph).
