đ§️ India Weather Update: Heavy Rainfall Alert Across Several Regions!
As per the latest update from Meteora Weather Service, several parts of India are expected to experience intense rainfall activity in the coming days. The forecast spans from 8th to 14th August, with many regions on alert for extremely heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds.
đ¨️ Northwest India:
The spotlight is on East Uttar Pradesh, which is expected to receive extremely heavy rainfall (≥21 cm) at isolated places on 8th August.
Other areas like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh are also likely to receive heavy rainfall from 8th to 14th August. Expect very heavy showers especially in Jammu & Kashmir (13th–14th) and Himachal Pradesh (11th–14th).
đ§️ Northeast India:
Widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is expected across the northeastern states from 8th to 14th August.
Look out for very heavy rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh (8th–10th August) and in Assam & Meghalaya on 8th, 11th & 12th August. States like Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura will also see significant rain activity.
đŦ️ South Peninsular India:
States like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, Coastal Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and the Mahe region will experience isolated heavy rainfall between 8th and 14th August.
Also, strong surface winds (up to 50 km/h) are forecasted across the region over the next two days.
đŠ️ East & Central India:
West Madhya Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Odisha, and Jharkhand are all on high alert. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim are likely to face very heavy rainfall from 8th to 14th August.
