Meteora Weather Service has issued a comprehensive rainfall and thunderstorm alert for several regions across India, forecasting intense rainfall, lightning, and gusty winds over the next few days. Multiple weather systems are expected to bring active monsoon conditions across the South, East, and Northeast regions, while cooler conditions are likely in the North.
đĻ️ South Peninsular India:
Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall (≥21 cm) is expected at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on 27th & 28th October, and over Rayalaseema on 27th October.

Light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorm will continue across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema during 24th–29th October.

Coastal Karnataka may experience heavy rain during 24th–27th, while North Interior Karnataka and Telangana are likely to get showers on 24th, 27th & 28th October.

Very heavy rainfall is expected over Kerala & Mahe (24th), Tamil Nadu & Coastal Karnataka (27th), and Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema (26th–28th October).

Thunderstorms with lightning are likely across most parts of South India during the next 5 days.

Strong surface winds (30–50 kmph) are likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema during the same period.

Andaman & Nicobar Islands will continue to receive heavy rain on 24th & 25th October.

Odisha is likely to face intense rainfall on 24th, 26th, and again between 27th–29th October, with isolated very heavy showers possible.

Gangetic West Bengal may see heavy rainfall during 28th–30th October, while Jharkhand could get rain on 29th October.

Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim will also witness wet conditions on 29th & 30th October.

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (40–50 kmph) are expected over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and parts of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh in the next 5 days.

Light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy showers is likely over Konkan & Goa and Madhya Maharashtra on 24th & 25th October, and over Gujarat State during 25th–27th October.

Thunderstorms with lightning will remain active across western India for the next 4–5 days.
đ§️ Northeast India:

Light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorm with isolated heavy rain is expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura during 29th & 30th October.
❄️ Northwest India:

No significant rainfall activity is expected for the next few days.

However, a drop in minimum temperatures by 2–3°C is likely over most parts of Northwest India, except East Uttar Pradesh, during the next 2 days — marking the onset of cooler weather.
⚠️ Meteora Weather Service Advisory:
Residents across South and East India are advised to remain alert for heavy rainfall, waterlogging, and lightning strikes. Fishermen along the Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Karnataka coasts should avoid venturing into the sea due to strong surface winds.
People in Northeast India should stay cautious during late-October rain spells, while those in the North can expect cooler mornings ahead.
