Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds (30–40 km/h) is likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim from 6th–8th October, while Gangetic West Bengal, East Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Jharkhand may witness similar activity during 6th–10th October. Lightning strikes are also expected in isolated pockets. Residents are advised to stay alert, especially during the late evening and nighttime hours.

Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with thunder, lightning, and gusty winds (30–50 km/h) is likely over Northwest India on 6th and 7th October.

Heavy rainfall is expected over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Rajasthan.

Very heavy rainfall may occur over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Punjab on 6th October.

Additionally, isolated hailstorm activity is possible over parts of Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

Light to moderate rain with thunderstorm activity is expected at many places across Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura from 6th–8th October.

Coastal and North Interior Karnataka as well as Rayalaseema are also likely to experience heavy rain during the same period.
Strong surface winds (30–40 km/h) will impact Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on 6th–7th October, while thunderstorms with gusty winds will affect Kerala and Interior Karnataka for the next five days.
