Northwest India

  • Extremely heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh on 11th August and Uttarakhand on 11th & 13th August.

  • Isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Jammu & Kashmir (13th–15th), Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand (11th–17th), Haryana & Chandigarh (11th, 13th–15th), Uttar Pradesh (11th–15th), and East Rajasthan (15th–17th).

  • Very heavy rainfall is likely over Jammu & Kashmir (11th), Himachal Pradesh (11th–14th), Uttarakhand (12th, 14th–17th), West Uttar Pradesh (11th, 13th & 14th), and East Uttar Pradesh (13th & 14th).

  • Widespread light to moderate rain with thunderstorms & lightning is likely in these states over the next week.


Northeast India

  • Extremely heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya on 12th August.

  • Heavy rain spells, thunderstorms, and lightning are expected to persist over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura from 11th–15th August.

  • Very heavy rainfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya on 11th August.

  • Moderate rainfall with thunder is expected across the region over the next 3 days.


South Peninsular India

  • Extremely heavy rainfall is very likely over Telangana on 14th & 15th August.

  • Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Karnataka (13th–17th), Rayalaseema (11th–15th), Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana (11th–17th), Tamil Nadu & Puducherry (11th–13th), and Kerala (12th).

  • Very heavy rainfall is expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam (13th–15th), Rayalaseema (13th & 14th), and Telangana (13th–17th).

  • Strong surface winds (40–50 km/h) are expected across the southern coast over the next two days.


East & Central India

  • Extremely heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on 11th & 12th August.

  • Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over West Madhya Pradesh (11th, 14th–17th), East Madhya Pradesh (11th–17th), Vidarbha (12th–17th), Chhattisgarh (12th–17th), Andaman & Nicobar Islands (11th & 12th), Bihar (11th–14th), and Odisha (14th & 15th).

  • Very heavy rainfall is expected in Vidarbha (13th & 14th) and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim (13th).
