India is set to experience widespread rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds across multiple regions as active weather systems influence both the mainland and islands. The first week of November will bring moderate to heavy rainfall over East & Central India, South Peninsula, Northeast, and parts of Northwest and West India, along with a gradual dip in night temperatures over the northern and central regions.


🌧️ East & Central India

Moderate rain and thunderstorms are expected at many places, with isolated heavy rainfall over the Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 2nd November.
Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (30–40 km/h) are likely over the Andaman & Nicobar Islands from 2nd–5th November.
West Madhya Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha may experience thunderstorms and lightning between 2nd–4th November, accompanied by gusty winds in some parts.

Light to moderate rainfall is expected at many places with isolated heavy rainfall likely over Konkan & Goa on 2nd November.
Thunderstorms with lightning are likely over Gujarat on 2nd November, Marathwada on 2nd & 3rd November, and Konkan & Goa on 5th November, while Madhya Maharashtra may see thunder and lightning between 2nd & 5th November.


🌧️ Northeast India

Light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely at most places, with isolated heavy rainfall expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on 2nd November.
Thunderstorms with lightning are likely over the entire northeastern region on the same day, indicating strong pre-monsoon-type activity driven by moisture from the Bay of Bengal.


🌩️ Northwest India

Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (40–50 km/h) are expected over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad on 4th November.
Thunderstorms and lightning are also likely over Rajasthan on 3rd–4th November, Himachal Pradesh on 4th & 5th November, and Uttarakhand on 4th November, as a western disturbance passes over the region.


đŸŒĻ️ South Peninsular India

Light to moderate rain and thunderstorms are expected at many places over Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema during 4th–6th November.
Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka are likely to receive rain between 5th–7th November, with scattered thunderstorms and occasional lightning expected due to easterly wave activity from the Bay of Bengal.


🌡️ Temperature Forecast

  • Northwest India: No major change expected for 72 hours, but minimum temperatures may fall by 3–4°C thereafter.

  • Central India: Stable for 48 hours, followed by a gradual fall by 3–5°C in minimum temperatures.

  • West India: Gradual cooling expected after 48 hours with temperatures dropping by 2–3°C over the next 3–4 days.


⚠️ Meteora Advisory

Residents across affected regions are advised to stay updated on weather alerts, as thunderstorms with lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall may cause local disruptions. Fishermen are advised to exercise caution around the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, West Coast, and East Coast due to strong winds and choppy sea conditions.
Farmers in rain-prone areas are advised to make arrangements to protect crops from possible lodging or waterlogging.
