Solar storm and its effect over Indian climate change

Solar storm and its effect over Indian climate change
A solar storm is the term  used for atmospheric effect  felt on earth  from certain events that occurs on sun. It is
a sudden explosion of particles, energy, magnetic fields, and material blasted into the solar system by the Sun. A Solar strom start with a huge explosion on the sun. These explosion is also called solar flares -
can be about as powerful as billions of nuclear bombs.
These phenomena send a stream of electrical charges .Solar storms follow an approximately 11-year cycle of activity, with periods of high activity and low activity. During solar maximum, the Sun's magnetic field is more complex and twisted, leading to increased solar storms and sunspot activity.

Effect of solar Strom on climate change?

Solar flares are sudden bursts of energy from the sun, releasing radiation and charged particles. It may increases in greenhouse-like gases such as water vapor and nitrous oxide (N2O) in the lower atmosphere. While solar flares can have noticeable effects on the upper atmosphere, their influence on Earth's surface temperature is relatively small.Furthermore, even during periods of increased solar activity, the total amount of solar energy reaching the top of the atmosphere has not shown a significant upward .The Wind speeds in the middle atmosphere can intensify dramatically—surging to over 140 km/h on the dark, night side of the planet. These storms can disrupt Earth's magnetosphere, causing geomagnetic storms that can affect satellite operations, power grids, and even radio communications.

Solar storms are a natural phenomenon with the potential for significant impact on modern society . solar storms is continuously developing. Scientists can warn of greater solar activity after anything explodes from the Sun. However, it’s still very challenging to anticipate when an outburst may happen.

Artificial rain and prospects in India.

Artificial Rain

Artificial rain is man-made precipitation induced using cloud seeding techniques, involving chemicals like silver iodide, potassium chloride, or dry ice. It is used for drought relief, improving water availability, controlling pollution, and reducing heat waves in urban areas where the environment remains dry for a long time. Artificial rainfall is also called as cloud seeding. In 1946, Vincent Schaefer, working at GE's research laboratory, was experimenting with cloud icing on aircraft. The method involves dispersing chemicals like silver iodide, potassium iodide, and dry ice into clouds to encourage the formation of raindrops using aircraft or helicopters.Artificial is especially seen in areas with low rainfall area like Saudi Arab,Qatar, and UAE.Delhi is conducted its first-ever trial of artificial rain through cloud seeding between July 4 and 11, 2025.

Importance of Artificial rain for india

The Primary goal of artificial rain to increase precipitation which can be crucial in area facing drought conditions. Cloud seeding has been the focus of many theories based on the belief that governments manipulate the weather in order to control various conditions, including global warming, populations, military weapons testing, public health, and flooding. The main objective of its first-ever launch in Delhi, India, is to reduce pollution. Rainfall is very essential for agriculture. Artificial rain can eventually enhance crop and other productivity. Artificial rain can improve the resources of water. Increasing participation can positively impact on water levels on reservoir .
