উত্তরবঙ্গে মৌসুমী অক্ষরেখার প্রভাবে প্রবল বৃষ্টি ও ভূমিধসের আশঙ্কা – সতর্ক পর্যটক ও বাসিন্দাদের জন্য বার্তা⚠️🚨

আগামী ২৪ ঘণ্টার পর থেকেই অর্থাৎ ২৪ থেকে ৪৮ ঘন্টার মধ্যে উত্তরবঙ্গের আবহাওয়ায় বড়সড় পরিবর্তনের ইঙ্গিত মিলছে। তার প্রধান কারণ হলো মৌসুমী অক্ষরেখা ধীরে ধীরে উত্তর ভারতের দিকে অগ্রসর হচ্ছে, যার প্রত্যক্ষ প্রভাব পড়তে চলেছে উত্তরবঙ্গের জেলাগুলিতে। বিশেষ করে পার্বত্য অঞ্চল যেমন দার্জিলিং, কালিম্পং, কার্শিয়াং এবং সংলগ্ন এলাকাগুলিতে প্রবল বৃষ্টিপাতের সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে। এছাড়াও সমতল ভূমি এলাকা গুলি তথা উত্তর দিনাজপুর, দক্ষিণ দিনাজপুর, মালদা ও তার সংলগ্ন অঞ্চল গুলিতে ও হালকা থেকে মাঝারি এবং বিক্ষিপ্তভাবে ভারী বৃষ্টিপাতের সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে। এই পরিস্থিতিতে জনজীবন ব্যাহত হওয়ার পাশাপাশি সড়কপথে ব্যাঘাত ঘটার আশঙ্কা প্রবল।

এই বৃষ্টিপাত মাঝারি থেকে ভারী ও স্থানবিশেষে অতি ভারী বৃষ্টিপাত ও হতে পারে। পাহাড়ি ঢালের ভূমিধসের পরিস্থিতি তৈরি হওয়াও অস্বাভাবিক নয়। ইতিমধ্যেই কিছু কিছু জায়গায় পূর্বের বৃষ্টির কারণে মাটি আলগা হয়ে আছে, যার ফলে নতুন করে ভারী বৃষ্টিপাত শুরু হলে রাস্তা বন্ধ হয়ে পড়তে পারে। এই কারণে পর্যটকদের অত্যন্ত সতর্ক থাকা এবং আবহাওয়ার আপডেট নিয়মিতভাবে খতিয়ে দেখার পরামর্শ দেওয়া হয়েছে।

পর্যটন মৌসুমে দার্জিলিং ও সংলগ্ন অঞ্চলে প্রচুর মানুষ ভিড় করেন। তবে প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগের সময় এই অঞ্চলগুলো হয়ে ওঠে ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ। অতএব ভ্রমণ যতটাই প্রয়োজন ঠিক ততটাও প্রয়োজন সতর্ক থাকার এবং সকলকে সতর্ক রাখার। তাই যে সকল পর্যটকরা আগামী দু থেকে তিন দিনের মধ্যে উত্তরবঙ্গ ভ্রমণের পরিকল্পনা নিচ্ছেন তাদের বিশেষ সতর্কতা অবলম্বন করা প্রয়োজন। গত কয়েক দিনের বৃষ্টিপাতের পরিণাম কি তা আমরা সকলেই দেখেছি যেমন দার্জিলিং ও কালিম্পং যাতায়াতের রাস্তা বিপর্যস্ত হওয়া, যোগাযোগ বিচ্ছিন্ন হওয়া প্রভৃতি। অতএব সতর্ক থাকুন।

এছাড়াও, নদী অববাহিকা অঞ্চলগুলিতে জলস্তর বৃদ্ধি পেতে পারে, যার ফলে প্লাবনের সম্ভাবনাও উড়িয়ে দেওয়া যাচ্ছে না। কৃষকদের জন্যও এটি একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সময়, কারণ অতিরিক্ত বৃষ্টির কারণে ফসলের ক্ষয়ক্ষতির সম্ভাবনা তৈরি হতে পারে।
